SSL Web Space

Adding SSL Secure Webspace facilities to your domain allows visitors to your website to communicate securely with your website. Sensitive information such as credit card numbers, passwords, and customer details, is encrypted and protected for transmission between the visitors browser and the secure webspace.

Your web site will be viewable normally at http://www.<your-domain>/ and securely for secure forms, e-commerce, etc at http://www.<your-domain>/ or http://secure.<your-domain>/ if the 'secure' sub-domain option has been chosen.

By default we will install a 'self-signed' certificate for you on your secure space.  However, you must be aware that a 'self-signed' certificates will result in the following warning on most browsers.

To overcome this you require a digitally signed certificate from a certification authority such as Thawte, Equifax, VeriSign or Entrust.

Thawte digital certificates may be purchased through HubNut Limited.  We will generate, purchase and install your certificate at the cost of £90 per year.

Alternatively, you may wish to purchase your own digital certificate.  We will assist you in its installation.
